Adult Therapy
Individual therapy for adults is a process where an adult works one-on-one with a trained mental health professional to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences in a safe, confidential space. The goal is to help the person better understand themselves, improve mental and emotional well-being, and make meaningful changes in their life.
Adult therapy supports people in navigating:
Mental health challenges (anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, etc.)
Stress, burnout, or overwhelm
Grief and loss
Relationship issues
Low self-esteem or confidence
Life transitions (career change, breakups, parenthood, aging, etc.)
Past experiences or family dynamics that still affect them
It can also be a space for personal growth, self-reflection, or just having a consistent, nonjudgmental place to process life.
What Happens in Sessions?
In therapy, you and the therapist explore what's going on emotionally, mentally, or behaviorally. You might talk about:
Daily challenges
Past experiences or traumas
Core beliefs and self-talk
Coping strategies
Relationship patterns
Hopes and goals for change
You can go short-term (to work through something specific) or longer-term (for deeper healing and growth).
